I am a professional musician for more than 15 years and major in
trumpet and band conducting.
I graduated from National Institute Of Education / National Technological University Singapore (NIE/NTU) with a Specialist Diploma (Merit) in Band Directing, and also possess Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) & Trinity College of Music, London qualifications in trumpet and music theory.
I’m also a brass specialist clinician. My area of expertise is in music directing and recruits training in WoodWind, Brasswind and Percussion instruments.
I have great interpersonal skills as I worked with people from all walks of life as well as students and kids. I loved working and interacting with people and is confident that my forte in leadership, teamwork, communication, patience and focus will contribute greatly to my work.

Mr. Kelvin Koh began his musical life journey as a pianist / keyboardist when he was in primary school. He began playing the trumpet when he joined his secondary school's band and was eventually promoted to Band Major. The young enthusiastic trumpeter has never looked back since.
Graduated from National Institute Of Education / National Technological University Singapore (NIE/NTU) with a Specialist Diploma (Merit) in Band Directing, Kelvin also possess Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) & Trinity College of Music, London qualifications in trumpet and music theory.
Kelvin’s career in 2000 started when he was enlisted to the Singapore Armed Forces Band (SAF BANDs) as a trumpeter. Performing with the SAF Bands in various performances, military parades, SAF Day parade, National Day Parade as well as a ‘Welcome Bugler’ (2002) for President, Mr. S.R. Nathan.
As a performer, Kelvin has performed extensively as 1st chair/lead trumpeter in various concert bands, symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, brass ensembles & studio recordings with venues like Victoria Concert Hall, Singapore Conference Hall, Esplanade, etc. He also embarked on a musical tour cum competition with National Institute Of Education Singapore (NIESB) to Hamar, Norway in 1999. He was involved in NIESB’s 4th CD Recording ‘Declaration IV’ in a recording studio and sales of CD (1999) in Singapore.
In year 2003, he branched into full-time band music education & music conducting in primary school and secondary schools. With vast, diverse experience and knowledge, Kelvin has been actively performing and involved in the music education scene, both locally as well as overseas.
Kelvin also serves the community by begin involved in community centres’ bands both as a conductor and a performer. He also served as an advisor to community bands.
Kelvin was previously under the tutelage of Mr. Chen Jia Min (Professor Of Trumpet), Mr. Lok Hoi Yu (ex-music director of National University Of Singapore) and Mr. Tan Beng Wee (Band Director Of Victoria School, Singapore).
Kelvin is currently involved in several schools and actively involving in grooming private students. He is also a member of the Bendigo & District Concert Band, Bendigo Brass Band and Marist Brass Band.
